You know Russell James from his beautiful images and his photographs of the world’s supermodels including Heidi Klum, Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Gisele Bündchen.
But what you may not know about the famed photographer is the fact that he’s dedicating his skills to capturing not only the beauty of the Australian outback, but also the reconciliation between Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and the Indigenous people of Australia, along with artists in the outback of Australia and Indigenous artist Clifton Bieundurry.
He trekked into the desert and even fell gravely ill, but came out with a greater understanding and an artistic collaboration which is now available for the world to see from March 15-28th as part of the Nomad Two Worlds art exhibit at the Metro Gallery in Victoria, Australia. In the name of charitable donations, Russell will donate an entire Nomad collection to the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research, which is a global group which works towards the prevention of childhood diseases, in order to raise money for the cause.
Check out the above trailer for the Australian Story documentary, which includes never before seen video Gisele posing on the beach and Miranda impersonating Russell, along with an intro from the cheeky, yet playful Heidi, and be sure to donate to the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research.
