February 16th, 2010She likes different flavors but when she gets a small piece of food in her mouth she acts as if she is choking to death! Very dramatic! She still prefers the stage 2 baby food (pureed, no chunks). What types of foods can I introduce to her in order to get her used to eating more table food??? She will eat tiny bits of scrambled egg, tofu, applesauce. Does anyone else have this issue?
Beauty Science For Valentines Day
February 9th, 2010Today’s post is a shout out for anyone looking for a good Valentines Day present for their beauty-obsessed, science-geeky gal pals.
Flowers and candy are always nice on Valentines Day, but, being chemists, the Beauty Brains also like presents that combine two of our favorite hobbies (beauty science and kissing.) Like this “Make Your Own Lip Balm Kit!”
It’s got everything you need to build your own lip lock laboratory of love – including skin-softening emollients, yummy flavors, and other ingredients that we talked about in our post on how lip gloss works.
Have you tried any DIY cosmetic kits? Leave a comment and share with the rest of the Beauty Brains community.
What type of lip gloss do you reccomend?
February 5th, 2010I want one of those lip gloss things with the rolling ball applicator at the top, but there’s only one brand of lip products that has that. It’s Blistex, and they only have one with no flavor and another with cherry flavor. It has this little silver ball at the top. Are there any other brands that have these type of lip products? What about Claire’s or Lip Smackers? What are your favorite flavors for those? I am also looking for the liquid lip gloss that leaves your lips looking wet and shiny. Are there any liquid lip glosses where they don’t dry out? Thanks.
